So, like I said, I have been reading ALOT. I am a serious bookworm and am usually working on 2 books at time. I've finished 3 books in the past week, 2 of which I started THIS WEEK. Holy Cow! OK, so here is what I have been devouring ::

Linchpin by Seth Godin. So I'm normally reading a book for fun and then a book for work/a book to better myself. Seth Godin writes some of the best marketing/advertising books out there. Purple Cow - I devoured it in a few hours. I read his blog every day. But this book gets a resounding "eh" from me. It was OK, but didn't really say much. A linchpin is someone an organization can't live without, the glue, someone who is irreplaceable because they are so talented, charismatic, etc., etc. etc. I want to be this person, hence, reading the book. I won't ruin it for everyone, but it is just a bit redundant. Lots about the lizard brain and how we are all scared of everything (because of our lizard brain) and we don't do anything (because of our lizard brain) and that we need to tell our lizard brain to shove it. Anywho, it got good at the end, but it was a bit of a struggle to get there (because of my lizard brain). Ok, I'll stop, but this book really gets in your head...

Next is a book I just finished today, Ignore Everybody by Hugh MacLeod. This was pretty clever, but the best part is that it was so easy to read and fairly entertaining for a "business" or "advertising" book. And it has pictures, which is always a bonus when choosing books.

Lastly, I have a secret. I love Lauren Conrad. She is just too precious. So I bought her first book, LA Candy. And let me tell you, I was 25 at the time, and I am WAY too old to be reading anything published by Harper Teen. I don't even read Twilight. So, I read it....and it is like a 5th grade reading level...and it reads like a reality show, which is what it is about....AND I LOVED IT! So, I had to get the sequel, which I read in two days....and this is not a short book. It is so bad, yet so good. It also inspired me to go out and buy this dress designed by LC herself. WOW...I am such a dork!

So now I am about halfway through The Manny by Holly Peterson. I'm a bit worn out on reading at this point, but this book is fairly entertaining thus far.
Ps. If you love books but hate paying for them, Barnes and Noble almost always has books on clearance for $5-$7 and some are even hardcovers. I have an entire stack of about 10 books that I need to get to that I just bought because they were on sale. Also, B&N and Amazon have great email coupons and always have free shipping for orders over $25. Or you could just borrow a book from me, I have a zillion!
