ICE STORM 2010!!!

Sorry - I had to...If you know anything about Oklahoma weather and our overzealous weathermen, I hope you laughed at the title of this post. The rain started at about 6 yesterday morning, and by 10:30 AM I had a layer of ice on my car and was ready to head home from work. Needless to say, Matt and I probably aren't getting out of the house until tomorrow! Here are some pics from Thursday and Friday ::

The willow tree in our backyard at 3 PM on Thursday :: I captured this for 2 reasons, one being that in the last ice storm this tree was young and was laying completely on the ground, and two that my parents lost their beautiful willow tree in the last big ice storm.

















Here is the same tree this morning at about 7:45 AM. I would guess it has about 1/2 of an inch of ice on it.

So, I'll probably do this for the rest of the day (and yes, that is a snuggie I'm wearing thanks to my wonderful granny!!!) ::
