The Earles are going green....

So it all started with a compost pile...no, actually, it started about a year ago when we started recycling. Do you know how much trash you DON'T have when you recycle? It is amazing!

Then we saw this nifty compost thing at Sam's....and now to the garden. A couple of years ago, I grew some seriously good peppers (and one random sunflower). Last year, I tried to grow tomatoes and onions but failed miserably. So this year, Matt is taking over, and he is sooo serious about this. So, we are going to have about 100 square feet of raised garden boxes with tomatoes, watermelon, lettuce, celery, brocolli, cauliflower, onions, peppers, cantelope....the list goes on and on.


And it all started with some dirt last weekend ::


And now it looks like this, ONE WEEK LATER ::



So, we've gone green and are growing our own veggies. Maybe it is all those food documentaries we are watching on NetFlix...
