2 Months...

Oh baby girl...the past month has been quite the learning experience. Let's see if I can get this all down.

At your 2 month appointment (9 weeks and 1 day old), you weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces (YAY!) and were 23 inches long.  You had 2 shots and I cried before you even got them.  You cried because you were cold and naked - you were pretty content until the Tylenol wore off, then you were grouchy for about an afternoon.

Here you are after the shots...

And later that day...

You're skin is mostly cleared up, but you are still pretty sensitive and get rashy and dry easily. I should buy stock in Cerave lotion and Cetaphil.

You sleep from about 10 pm -6:30 am each night and we are working on getting you to bed earlier. You almost always wake up crying about 30 minutes after going down - I like to think you just want some extra time with mommy.

You are getting so good at putting yourself down for a nap - with NO tears. Your afternoon nap is still terrible, so I usually run errands at that time so you'll sleep in the car.  We just started to not swaddle for your daytime naps, and the first one went well - we'll see if you keep it up.

This picture is obviously not one of those good nap times, but your head was stuck like this and you were PASSED. OUT.

You love to smile and make eye contact - and you love to watch our mouths when we talk. You squeak a bit here and there and we've gotten a couple giggles out of you, but haven't found the magic trick to really make you laugh.

You're not big enough for the Bumbo, but you played along while I tried it out...

You love the bath tub - you kick and kick and your eyes are HUGE the entire time. You also pee every time we pull you out of the tub, which is always fun.

We've had quite the time breastfeeding, so we are supplementing with formula to fatten you up (that is why I was so excited that you gained a pound and an ounce this past week). I'm not throwing in the towel on breastfeeding yet though...

It took me 2 months, but I got you in a dress and bow to deliver valentines to Daddy at work. You looked like a freaking doll! And you were very wiggly for the picture :)

And here is our first family picture :) We'll get a better one next time!
