So I just finished reading "The Manny" by Holly Peterson. The premise of the book was pretty interesting - a TV producer (think "Nightline") and she is so busy with her three kiddos and her brat of a husband that she has to hire a nanny, or in her case, a manny (a male nanny, get it?). I love these beachy reads about New York City...but I hate when books have a major premise around emotional affairs on your significant other...then either leaving your significant other or reconciling with your significant other. Anywho, I just think it is kind of an awful premise that is used way too often in chick lit. Besides that, the producer premise of the book was actually really interesting...so maybe this should have been two different books. Oh well, it was like $4.95 at Barnes and Noble on clearance. Next up is "Total Money Makeover" by David Ramsey.
